The following retail developments have been completed by Portland Trust since 1999.
This shopping and entertainment center is one of the most successful regional shopping centers in the Czech Republic. It includes a multiplex cinema, restaurants, fitness and many recreational facilities. It opened fully leased in 2002 and was extended in 2004 with an INTERSPAR supermarket and is located in a wellestablished suburban retail zone close to retailers such as IKEA, Tesco, and Globus. The new Prague ring road connects the center to the most affluent population catchment areas of Prague and to nearby cities to the west. The area has excellent public transportation links, with the shopping center itself uniquely connected to a metro station. It won the Construction Journal “Best Shopping Center Development” award 2002.
The Modřice project in Brno comprises a 3ha site prominently located on the D2 highway to Bratislava, Slovakia, in a well-known retail zone in the country's second largest city. The site is opposite the entrance of the region's largest shopping centre, Olympia Brno, and is part of a growing retail park that includes major retailers such as Gigasport and Natuzzi. The building comprises 9,000m2 of retail, 4,500m2 of storage area and 390 car spaces.
Four Plus Discount and one Albert supermarkets and district centres were developed in regional towns with long term leases and subsequently sold on to an investor in 2004.
